TIP 2: An Emory Board for Your Chair Legs
You probably have some Emory boards hanging around that you use to file your nails. Take one of them and use it to remove the hair that builds up on the bottom of your chair legs. The base of a chair leg is especially likely to attract pet hair if it has a Velcro covering on it protecting a tile or wood floor. Use a lint roller to pick up pet hair from surfaces such as furniture and clothing. For extra effectiveness, create a mixture of water and fabric softener in a spray bottle and lightly mist the surfaces. This will help loosen the hair and make it easier to remove with the lint roller.
TIP 6: Microfiber Cloths
Dampen a microfiber cloth with water and use it to wipe down surfaces. The microfiber material will attract and trap pet hair effectively. Rinse the cloth as needed to remove the collected hair.

TIP 9: DIY Pet Hair Remover
Create your own pet hair remover by wrapping duct tape, sticky side out, around a paint roller. Roll the sticky roller over furniture and carpets to pick up pet hair. Replace the duct tape as needed when it becomes full of hair.
